History
Since 1995, the Yiddishkeit Klezmer Ensemble has been performing traditional Klezmer music at weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, concerts, festivals, schools and other special events throughout New England and New York. The band performs original and traditional Klezmer music. "One of the top Klezmer bands on the East Coast," Seth Rogovoy, author of "The Essential Klezmer."


Instruments
The instrumentation is clarinet, fiddle, accordion, trombone, flute, saxophone, bass, drums and vocals. The size and instrumentation of the band is flexible, from one to eight musicians.


Repertoire
The band performs freylekhs, bulgars, horas, terkishers, waltzes, Hebrew/Israeli, Yiddish folksongs and many other traditional styles from the Klezmer repertoire. The band can also perform Swing, Jazz, Blues, Celtic, Classical, Latin, Reggae, Calypso, Funk, R&B, Soul, Motown and other styles if desired.
