My husband and I got married on 9/16/23 and I cannot emphasize this enough: Alex was phenomenal. We met with so many DJs leading up to our wedding, and after speaking with Alex, we immediately knew without a doubt that we wanted to work with him. And he did not disappoint! Once the dancing started, it did not stop. Alex was so attentive listening to every detail we wanted for our wedding, and he was very willing to make last minute changes, even the morning of!

What we appreciated most was how great he was at checking in with us at appropriate times throughout the evening to ensure we were happy with everything, or check if we were ready for specific announcements o dedication songs. He was great at keeping us on schedule and absolutely exceeded our expectations. We had a private last dance at the end of our reception, where we asked all our guests to go outside to the patio. Unbeknownst to us, during that time, Alex coordinated with all our guests to have them come rushing in at the end of the song and gather around us in a massive hug.

I've heard that DJs can really make or break your wedding day, and Alex went absolutely above and beyond to elevate our day. He is a natural at his job and loves what he does and it shows -- not only in terms of reading the room when choosing songs and transitions, but also in his enthusiastic introductions and announcements and the way he interacts with guests. We had several meetings with Alex leading up to our wedding where we went through all of the details, and he was incredibly attentive to what we wanted while also offering his own suggestions and expertise. He went above and beyond to help with the setup for our ceremony and made sure everything was running smoothly. Before our introductions, he took the time to meet with us and confirm all of the final detail.

"We were so happy to find our DJ, Alex Vollono. We immediately felt like we could trust him, and we were so right! Following our inquiry, we met Alex via video, and we ended up choosing not only Powerstation Events but him as our DJ thanks to his professionalism and ease of conversation. With him guiding us through the preparation and reception, it was a joyful process.

We had a few things we wanted to do differently, and he worked with us to make sure everything would flow nicely. We especially wanted songs that would make everyone feel welcomed and honor the multilingual nature of the party. He wasn't intimidated by our French-American reception, and would be a fantastic choice for any multicultural event. He even made some awesome suggestions when we needed a little extra help.

Alex immediately understood the vibe we were going for, from the dinner music to the dance music. He took special care in pronunciation of all the French names, and spoke clearly for the non-English speakers. He was very comfortable at the our venue, which contributed to an overall comforting familial feel. Halfway through our first dance, which was already magical, Alex invited other couples to join us on the dance floor. I felt so surrounded by love, it was like I could reach out and touch it. The music is a foundational part of the best memories I have of my wedding reception, and I am eternally grateful to Alex.

I was on the dance floor for four hours, from when we officially opened it at 9 PM to 1 AM when the closing song played. From ages 2-80, French or American, everyone had a great time on the dance floor, and several people even told me they stayed later than they had anticipated because they were having so much fun! If that isn't a whole-hearted recommendation, I don't know what is."

That relationship was solidified on our wedding day though his friendliness, attention to detail, professionalism, and THE best wedding playlist on the planet.

I, the bride, did NOT leave the dance floor AT ALL. All of our guests had a blast dancing, and I was shocked to look around at the LAST SONG of the night and see everyone - and I mean everyone - on their feet singing and dancing.

"As our DJ, we went with Alex Vollono and it was without a doubt, one of the best decisions we made. He exceeded both of our expectations on all fronts. He was super easy to work with and understood our vision from the first meeting with him. It was also super easy to communicate; I had a couple of last minute changes just days before the ceremony and he made the changes and incorporated everything so seamlessly into the program.

He also had a lot of great suggestions and input throughout the day. He managed to cater to both families (mine is Haitian and my husband's is American). Everyone felt included and I absolutely had the time of my life. Any time I was about to leave the dance floor, the next song was even better than the last.

As it was a day wedding, I was a bit worried that people would not have as much fun and dance as much as expected but that was not the case at all. From beginning to end, it was exactly what we wanted and my whole family raved about the DJ.

"Our DJ was Alex Vollono and he really hit it out of the park.

I am super picky about my music, and he totally understood the assignment. My husband and I, and all our family and friends of different backgrounds, had an absolute blast. People were so exhausted from dancing so hard that a great song would end, you could audibly hear the sighs of relief like they thought they could take a break, and then Alex would play another banger and everyone would go at it again. It was great.

Alex also looked like he was having a great time which I loved, and he was very professional throughout the whole process. I would hands down hire him again if I ever needed another DJ.
