His diverse background, with over a decade of performance experience spanning dance, singing, guitar, and theater, live entertainment has shaped his ability to connect with audiences in dynamic and engaging ways, helping define his unique identity as a DJ.
As a DJ and emcee, Jesse takes an experience-first approach. While great music is a given, he believes it’s the energy, interaction, and attention to detail that truly elevate a celebration. We first met Jesse over the phone to discuss options for DJs. He really tried to understand our vibe and fit us with the right DJ which happened to be him. In our calls before the wedding he was very friendly but also focused on getting down to business and making sure everything was clearly planned and we were on the same page. He was super flexible with how we wanted to set up the microphones for the ceremony and how we wanted speeches and dances to be done.
Once it came to dancing Jesse absolutely killed it. His transition from the horah to the rest of dancing was great and kept most people dancing with us. He totally got the vibe we wanted for music and gave us the most fun I've ever had dancing at a wedding.

Powerstation Events is very thorough with making sure they gather all information they could possibly need for your wedding...even down to what song you want playing while you're cutting your cake. Jesse made sure to go over all of this with us and executed it all perfectly on our wedding day. They even had a ceremony package where they bring speakers and clip on microphones so everyone can hear what is happening.
If I need a DJ for any event in the future, I will most definitely be hiring him again. I even had guests that wanted his business card. He's a no brainer option!"

He did a lot of preparation before the wedding that really made the wedding day go super smooth. On the wedding day he was very familiar with the venue and the staff, so that was great to not have to worry about. His song selections were excellent. I received a lot of compliments on the playlist.

"We got married at the Barns at Wesleyan Hills in Middletown, CT. Jesse Chen was our DJ for the evening and he absolutely KILLED IT.
He made sure our must plays were prioritized, and curated the perfect song list for our entire wedding from the ceremony, to the final dance. He even heard us mention an important song in our vows and made sure he moved it from dinner playlist to dancing playlist. I was so amazed with how closely he listened and responded to us as a couple!!!
His announcing was exactly what we had asked for and we got a lot of compliments from guests about what a great job he did. We are so grateful that Jesse made our day so special and we had so much fun with him as our DJ.

He was so upbeat and energetic, and he played songs that kept the dance floor full all night long. He worked so closely with our venue staff to make sure our timeline was perfectly executed (e.g. Bridal entrance during a specific time of a song for the ceremony).
He made sure that all of the important family/ friends were in the reception area whenever big events would occur such as speeches, dances, cake cutting, bouquet tossing, etc. He was so organized and he truly made our wedding so perfect. All 185 of our wedding guests kept complimenting us about how amazing our DJ was, and he kept the party alive for the marathon that it was (7 hrs long!!). We appreciate you and all that you do Jesse.
