"For my wedding reception I had an escape room theme and asked that Rich could assist me on that. If guests put together a puzzle in their locked favor box they would get a secret message to "Tell the DJ The PassCode is Blue Harvest". If they went up to the DJ, he would then give me a special card I made that would then give them a secret message to find other secrets in the venue. I also had them go up to him for prizes if they received a scratch ticket or message that said so. Rich happily gave out these cards and prizes and my guests loved it and said they had so much fun.

I also had a secret raffle at the end of the night. Rich worked with me and the wedding coordinator on timing for this so that when I announced it on his mic the confetti cannons went off and our last fun dance song immediately played, getting the entire crowd going! It was like I was in a movie!

The entire night the dance floor was packed and I owe it to Rich for keeping everything alive and moving. He checked in with me and my husband every once in a while to make sure he was playing certain songs that we wanted. We didn't want very many slow songs but did at least request a few and he made to get the ones in that we wanted without slowing down the party too much.

Rich and the team there know exactly what they are doing and I cannot recommend them enough!"

“Absolutely awesome in every way! Rich G was the man. During our meeting prior to the wedding, he took in all of our requests and even made note of some of our quirks as a couple.

For example, before the reception while people were in the mezzanine for cocktail hour, Rich was setting up his equipment and saw that my bridesmaids were helping me bustle my dress in ballroom away from the guests - he played the theme song for Doctor Who (one of my favorite nerdy shows) while we were struggling with the dress, which really lightened the mood and made me laugh. I really appreciated the small (but very special) touch.

During the reception, he read the room perfectly and kept the dance tempo going all night. The night FLEW by because I was on the dance floor the whole time. He worked very hard to keep us happy!!!”

“We got some raised eyebrows when we told our families that our wedding DJ would also be our wedding officiant, but when we met with Rich Gumpert at Powerstation Events we knew that he was the man for the job(s)!

As an officiant, Rich was perfect. He was personable, funny, and very willing to work with my husband and I to create a ceremony that reflected who we are as a couple without alienating more traditional relatives. He was always prompt and professional in his correspondence and he genuinely wanted to make our day perfect.

He found the perfect classical guitarist for our ceremony (ask for Dave!!! He learned 'Married Life' from UP for us!) and on the day of he was right on time, and clearly excited to be a part of our day, which made us even more excited to tie the knot!

As a DJ Rich brought the party and then some! He helped us to secure Marty Q and his band to achieve the balance of live and recorded music that we wanted, and he was wonderful at monitoring the energy level of the crowd and catering to it. Our dance floor was crowded all night and those key moments (intros, first dance, parent dances, etc) all went off without a hitch. 

Our day was a perfect blur, and we couldn't have done it without Rich and the Powerstation Team. Thanks!!!”

“We chose Powerstation while planning an out of state wedding. From a telephone conference to actually almost interview different DJs and personalities by watching each DJs video and actual footage from weddings, we knew right off the bat we wanted Rich!!! He was the easiest of all the vendors we got to work with. He was easily reached by phone anytime we had questions, he made the process stress free and easy! Honestly we knew we wanted to give him a list of songs to play... which he was more than happy to do and added some of his own magic on the actual day to play songs that were crowd pleasers, and he ensured we were present during our favorite requested songs! We received so many compliments that every song was perfect and tasteful to match the theme of the wedding. We were entertained 100% of the time... we are so happy to say our wedding was a big hit many thanks to the music!!! The dance floor was FULL the entire time. We even got compliments on how the volume was just right so people could hear over dinner. Overall Powerstation was the best choice and we will also highly recommend Rich!!! The lighting, flexibility in songs the night of, and amount of interaction and personality with the crowd was the perfect balance !!!!

My wife and I had an excellent experience working with PowerStation events. Our DJ, Rich Gumpert, was everything you could hope for in a DJ. He emceed the night very well, made everything flow smoothly, offered great suggestions, accommodated our desires, and had everybody on the dance floor continually once the dancing started.
